Abstract: The military environment demands specific requirements for the personality of the
cadets. The curriculum of the trainees in the "Military Doctor" study program includes
theoretical and practical classes at Nicola Vaptsarov Naval Academy, Medical University
"Prof. Dr. Paraskev Stoyanov" – Varna and Military Medical Academy – Sofia.
Working in extreme situations and also learning two different specialties – "Medical Support
of the Armed Forces" and "Organisation and Management of Military Formations at Tactical
Level" – is a test for the personal qualities of the cadets.
The profession of "Military Doctor" is a responsible one, combining devotion to the health
and to the Homeland, therefore is important to assess the physical and mental condition of the
trainees.
