Abstract: Introduction: In late 2019, the Covid-19 disease spread rapidly and affected millions
of people (615 million) worldwide.. Pregnant women are a risky group of patients who require
more frequent monitoring, medical examinations, tests. This also assumes a strict organization
of work of The Consulting Cabinet for Maternal Care/CCMC/ during a pandemic.
Objective: To analyze the opinion of gynecologists, general practitioners and pregnant
women, regarding the organization of work and health care in the CCMC during a complicated
health situation (pandemic).
Materials and methods: analysis of scientific literature and statistics, questing of respondents
- obstetrician-gynecologists, general practitioners and pregnant women who have suffered
from Covid 19 from the Burgas region for the period 2020-2022.
Results and discussion: Based on the conducted reseach it was found that the illness of Covid
19 among pregnant women or women in labor is relatively low against the background of the
general incidence. The development and implementation of the "Algorithm for providing health
care for pregnant women during a pandemic" would facilitate the work of the CCMC. It is
recommended to include in the "Maternal Healthcare" program, administration of a vaccine
against Covid 19 during pregnancy or after delivery .
Conclusion: The study was conducted only in one region and among a small group of pregnant
women and doctors The obtained results and their interpretation achieved the goal and showed
that the organization of activities and health care in the CCMC is good .
