SURGICAL AND MEDICAL CASTRATION IN WOMEN WITH GENITOURINARY SYNDROME OF MENOPAUSE, Pavel Dobrev

ABSTRACT: In our study the genitourinary syndrome of menopause in women after surgical and medicinal castration was investigated. The aim is to study the incidence and different manifestations of genitourinary atrophy syndrome. 35 patients with surgical castration and 32 patients undergoing drug therapy (chemo and/or hormone therapy) were analyzed. Conclusions regarding the frequency distribution of all patients included in the study according to vaginal pH; vaginal cleanliness; amount of lactobacilli; subjective vulvo-vaginal and urinary symptoms were made.
