CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE IRRETRIEVABLE LOSSES IN BULGARIA AT COVID-19 - A PHENOMENON THAT HAS CHANGED HUMAN SOCIETY FOREVER, D. Dimitrova, E. Georgieva and D. Dekov
ABSTRACT: At the end of 2019, a new human coronavirus (NHCV) was registered by the WHO in December, and three months later, on March 11, 2020, a pandemic was declared. The unknown strains are characterized by high morbidity, but also by the formation of a growing share of irreversible losses among the population. Bulgaria is included in the black statistics of COVID-19. As claimed by the analysis of the data, by the end of the first half of 2021, since the beginning of the pandemic of COVID-19 in Bulgaria, the mortality rate is defined as increasing, (more than 250 per 100,000 people). The data show that according to this indicator the country ranks is eighth among about a little over 200 countries. The analysis indicates several groups of risks factors, including the age structure of the population and the incidence of severe chronic diseases (SChD). In Bulgaria, the peak of mortality coincides with that of the development and spread of NHCV. Knowledge and analysis of the risks of increased mortality are important for the development of programs for their reduction in favor of health risk management.
