ABSTRACT: It is determined in humans that coronaviruses can cause mainly respiratory infections, incl. severe diseases: MERS, SARS. From the end of 2019 the new human coronavirus (NHCV) COVID-19 as a topical issue is presented. There are a number of (un)known in a complex differential equation on the map of the world of the NHCV, in its variability (from alpha to lambda strain), contagiousness, virulence and (im)possibilities for effective therapy, as well as control over the pandemic explosion and the public healthcare risk of collapse. From the private to the general a common denominator of these manifestations in the sick is established. Separate forms of the disease are explained. Public health and socio-medical challenges arise in the face of healthcare risk management (HCRM). Early identification, monitoring of victims and contacts and people at risk is the part of complex base for risk reduction of fatal outcome. The application of the fundamental principles of protection and prevention significantly supports healthcare risk management and control of NHCV. The study presents systematized facts about the new coronavirus in favor of the HCRM.
